Sorry for posting the 1911 census details.I am used to seeing the Scottish ones & only recently discovered that, unlike the others, I am allowed to quote them.
I think the David that died in Leicester is the son of the Mrs.Helen Ramsay (who hails from Sanquhar,Dumfries). Her son was born c1905 in Glasgow.
Hope this helps,
flst

P.S. She could be Nellie, in which case Tom you're on to something. David would be most likely be their son!

Thanks for all the help  :) Yes David had a son David Allen who did die around that time because his wife, born 1906, remarried in 1965 in Leicester. I don't know about a G and H Ramsay in Coalville- I will look into it  :)
And thanks for the link,
Ryan  :)

Hi Ryan

I was interested to read that you have a photo of David ramsay. I'm writing a book about Leicester in WW1. Strikes are a bit part of it, and I would like to use a photo of Ramsay if possible. Would you be able to help me please?

Many thanks

Matthew
