looking for someone please
« on: Wednesday 08 August 12 11:00 BST (UK) »
Hi

I am trying to help a friend and am looking for information on his father, who he met a few times in later life but never got around to asking about his family.  One lived in Canada and one in Australia so they only had brief times together and he had also remarried.

I wondered if anyone could help please?

His name was Ronald George Lambert, he was born in Birmingham, Engand in 1919 and emigrated with his family at 6 weeks old.

I have found a Ronald Lambert, born in England and departing London to St John,s in New Brunswick
in immigration records but cannot get into them, would someone be able to help please?

We are hoping it gives his parents names etc.,  Ronald died in 1988 in Canada.

Would there be any Canadian census available for his early years?

Many thanks

Ronald George Lambert - Birth October 9 th -1919 in Birmingham England
and died September 27 th -1996 in Edmonton Alberta Canada.
Wife :- Alexandra Yedlinski -Born Feb. 2 nd-1928 in Saint Paul Alberta Canada
and died May 22 nd -2007 in Morinville Alberta Canada.

Daily Times Index shows that there should be an Obituary for Ronald George
Ronald George Lambert. Born 1920 Died Edmonton 1998 aged 78 years
Publication Date: 28 Sep 1998  - Publication Place: United States

Sandra

The parents of Alexandra Yedlinski were Stanley Yedlinski and Mary Ranchuk.
Looks like Ronald had another brother. Both parents could have died Woodstock. New Brunswick. Canada.

Hi Sandra

Many thanks for the information.

We've made a start - thank you.

Does it look like her husband was travelling with them, do you think?

Kind regards,

Hi

That could be the correct marriage as his middle name is Harwood!

I tried looking for a possible marriage and came up with nothing, well done :)

There is an Emily Lambert on an Ocean Arrivals 1919-1924, would this be the same as you have just given me or something different for her, would you be able to take a look for me please if possible?

I tried putting in F H Lambert but nothing seemed to come up for him.

Kind regards
