So you are saying Irene died before her husband?    Do you have the death certificate/printout for Stanel?  Maybe the same Funeral Director was the same for Irene.  Perhaps getting in touch with them and asking.

Haven't got to that point yet lol. Finding getting around the New Zealand Archives a bit difficult. You have to go in person. I live in Australia lol. Trying to find my brothers grave has been hard enough. Will have to get someone to go there I guess. Is this correct. And as my brother hasn't been dead for 50 years yet will this make it more difficult to find his grave.
Cheers,
Wendy :)

So Stanel's first wife Ellen died in 1929 1937.

BGM's mum was born in 1938.

Irene died prior to 1955 - what year was their youngest child born? Knowing this will help narrow the search.

Stanel died in 1955 at Palmerston North.

No, that was the marriage year

Your Reply#9 gave the death year of 1937

Hi BGM,

If you contact the Palmerston North City Council re Stanel's grave they should be able to provide more information.

Wendy, that is why there are wonderful angels on here, who do the Acts of Kindness, on behalf of people overseas ... or here in NZ who can not visit Archives and take time out of their days and visit on behalf of RCer's
