Kyme area history
« on: Tuesday 07 August 12 18:57 BST (UK) »
Hi
I am researching the Brickles family, who seem to have lived in the Sleaford and Kyme areas.
John Brickles was born in Helpringham in 1803.
I also know that in 1661 the Brickles family lived in Aswarby.

I wanted to know something about the history of the area in the 1600's and 1800's. Did the bubonic plague affect people in the area and just a general idea of what life was like then. Are there any sites you could recommend that give an insight into life in Lincolnshire.
thanks
Helene
