I know it's an old thread.

I just wanted to say thank you, in case any previous posters are looking. I have just discovered a somewhat mysterious ancestor named as a trustee of a company for what we would call an IPO, it looks like, in 1862, whose address is given as 4 Great Winchester Street, E.C.
This thread, which I found using Google, saved me a lot of bumbling around looking for what that address was!
