Holme Cultram/Maryport Burials for HOPE
« on: Monday 06 August 12 01:37 BST (UK) »
I wonder if anyone is able to check parish registers for 1839 & 1842 for Holme Cultram or Maryport for the burials of Isabella (1839, Holme Cultram) & Thomas Hope (1842, Maryport). Not sure of age, but I guess 40ish. In 1841 Thomas was a coal miner, 40 years old, living in Wood street, Maryport. He married Isabella Long in 1820 in Holme Cultram. I think it most likely that Isabella died in Holme Cultram, their last child was born there in 1837 and there is a death registered in the Wigton District. Would like to confirm these are definately the people I'm looking for before I pay for certificates. Your help/advice would be gratefully received. :)

I have just found a site listing BTs for Holme Cultram and have found the entry for Isabella, correct age so I'll have to brave and order the certificate. Request for Thomas still stands. Many thanks.

Thank you Robert. Sorry for the late reply, I have only just realised I had forgotten to change my email address so haven't been receiving notifications. Your help is much appreciated.
