Larkhall - Secession Churches - baptism & marriage registers

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know of any existing baptism or marriage registers for secession churches in the Larkhall area before 1855?

The Larkhall entry from GENUKI states:

Larkhall has a post office, with money order, savings bank, and telegraph departments, a branch of the Union Bank, a gaswork, a quoad sacra parish church (1835), renovated and extended in 1889, a Free church, a U.P. church (1836), an Evangelical Union chapel (1876), St Mary's Roman Catholic church (1872), a public library, baths, public halls, bowling club, cemetery, etc.

I have searched the catalogue at the National Archives of Scotland without success.

If the Secessionist churches later reunited with the Established Church of Scotland Congregation their records would have gone with them - St Machan's may be a place to start


Added - just checked and saw a reference to the United Free Church recombining with the Church of Scotland in Larkhall in 1929.
