Hale-Breamore marriage - John Crook and Ann
« on: Saturday 04 August 12 23:20 BST (UK) »
Could anyone help me please?  I am looking for a marriage for John Crook and his wife Ann.  John Crook was born in Breamore 1783, the son of  John and Betty Crook, and Ann came from Hale.

I don't Know where they married or Ann's surname.

They lived in Downton and had children:

John Crook   bp 30 Jun 1805 at Downton
James Crook   bp 30 Aug 1806 at Downton
Betty Crook   b abt 1811

I would assume their marriage was before 1805, but it could be earlier if there were previous children born elsewhere before they moved to Downton.

I haven't found them on 1841 census, but have found them on 1851 census at Downton.
Ann Crook died in 1857 in Downton, aged 82 so she would have been born in about  1775-1776.

If anyone could help I'd be very grateful!

 :)Hi there

Got it , John Crook married Ann Harrison 13 Oct 1804 in Hale

Anne Harrison was baptised 6 Aug 1775 to John and Elizabeth in Hale.

Hope your ancestors stayed in Hale as the Dorset/Wilts boundaries just add futher complication to the searching.

regards

Lucy
