Is your wife a relative of Emily Hicks (wife no. 2) John Flexman Johns? I do have a whole lot of info on Arrian's family, who came down from Hartland. Flexman was the maiden name of Arrian's mother.
My Gt Grandmother, Mabel was one of Arrian's daughters from his first marriage to Emily Johns, who sadly died at the age of 32 of a bronchial problem. The second Mrs Emily Johns nee Hicks, I believe may have been working in Wheal Rose as a servant and that is how they met.
Gt Grandmother Mabel had 3 boys after her marriage to Edwin Mewton - Edwin, Arrian and Cecil.
Edwin was my Grandfather.
