Hi, hope one of you lovely people can help me out (again!!!) My Great Grandparents Patrick and Bridget Doherty came from Scalp Mountain area of Buncrana, Donegal to Scotland. When - I don't know. They had 8 children, my gran was born 1st September 1919 in Falkirk. (Annie Docherty) she was the youngest of 8 I have tried the 1911 census on Scotland's People, not just for Falkirk but for all of Scotland, spent weeks/months looking for them on Irish Census records to no avail. I also checked English Census records in case they went there first before moving up to Scotland. I have found my GGGrandparents Edward Doherty and Mary (McLaughlin) Doherty on a 1901 census with some of my GGrandmother's brothers and sisters but not my GGrandmother (she would have been 23 at this time and probably left home/married) The 1901 census shows the family living at 26 in Gortnaskea, Birdstown, Donegal.
My Great Grandfather Patrick Doherty was born 16.5.1873 - Parents Charles Doherty and Ellen Doherty (Donnell)
My Great Grandmother Bridget Doherty (her married name also) born 1878 (or thereabouts) I've guessed this from her death certificate. Parents Edward Doherty and Mary Doherty (McLaughlin)
Patrick and Bridget's children were:-
Patrick Docherty
Peter Docherty
Mary Docherty
Charles Docherty
Edward Docherty
Ellen Docherty
John Docherty
Annie Docherty
Unfortunately, I don't know what order they were born only that my gran was the youngest and the spelling of the surname may Doherty for some of the children if they were born in Ireland, although I can't find them!

I'd love to find out when my grandparents came over here, when they got married etc. I know that if I could get one of the children's birth certificates I would get a date and place of marriage which might help. I'll keep researching but if anyone has any ideas or clues I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks
