A friend has asked for help with the above birth but we could not find it on the IGI or Ancestry
She said his father is James Joel b 1791 and Mary Carter ?
Can anyone help with details ?

What evidence points to it being that date and that area?

What is 'wrong' with the baptism in 1828 Stanwell?

Joseph Jowel to James & Mary Jowel (BT's)

Hi  :) ages were rounded off in 1841 census
There is a James Joel 50 agr labr, next listed is Sarah 30, perhaps his 2nd wife?
Joseph 14, then a gap between kiddies to Thomas 7, Mary 6.
Stanwell Msex.
1851 Not sure if same lad, sad... Thomas Joel 16 bn Stanwell living in Staines Union Workhouse
agr labr.1851 also Joseph 22 in Staines on his own.

Thanks so much for the replies - she did mention he was living with Sarah in 1841 but thought she was too young to be Josephs mother

Hi that's why I suggested Sarah was his second wife.
Thomas was baptised 27.4.1834 St Mary the Virgin Stanwell to Jas & Mary.
