Aitken Sanitorium
« on: Thursday 02 August 12 16:34 BST (UK) »
Hi
Does anyone know whereabouts the patients were buried when they died at the Aitken Sanitorium in Holcombe. My father in law died in 1962 and we are searching for his grave. He came from Salford, death cert says Heywood? I have tried Ramsbottom, Bury, Radcliffe, Weaste, Agecroft but nowhere to be found.

Hi Michael,

I would imagine that his family would arrange for him to be taken back to his home town and that he would be buried or cremated at the local cemetery of that town.
