Can someone advise me where I can look at parish records from 1700- 1750 for Bellingham and Simonburn. I  am thinking of visiting Northumberland to try and trace some of my ancestors. Are the records kept at Woodhorn only or are there any kept nearer to Bellingham.

Thanks
Amberoo

The original registers are kept at Woodhorn.
There are some transcripts at Newcastle Central Library.

For some strange reason it seems there are also some Simonburn transcripts at Tyne & Wear Archives.

There are also transcripts at Hexham Library.

Correction - these are only indexes to marriages & baptisms.

Have you looked at the family search site, B.M.Ds  are on there and on the whole are pretty good.

Bellingham records aren't on there, and those for Simonburn only start at 1816 - Amberoo is interested in 1700-1750.

Added I assume you meant the Bishops Transcripts?

Fiche Lady has Simonburn 1681-1851 CMB's as transcripts.  The more specfic as to name and when the better for my eyes cause they are hand written.
I only have Bellingham in RC  and URC records roughly 1794-1925 depend on which religion.
