If you're looking for info on Stirling residents and businesses in late 19th and early 20th centuries there's a series of directories available for free download on the internet archive. Cook and Wylie directory for 1903 shows G Bulloch business under Brokers and Furniture Dealers at 99-101 Baker st. In 1909 99-103 Baker St is now McKay's pawnbrokers and George Bulloch is listed as a broker at his residence in 32 Baker St.

Hi Sandy  :)

It's nice to see that the census and death info that I found last night and listed above corresponds to the trade directories.

I can confirm Blewit's was a second hand furniture dealer at the top of the town and was still trading in early 1970's when I lived in Stirling. I agree with brevitas - it's good when all these bits of info come together!

Cheers

Sandy

Jus checked the certificate again and Jeanie Blewitt was living at 8 Melville Terrace when her mother died in 1952
