Chambers, Thomas inquest 1897

Hi

I have discovered that my 2x great grandfather THOMAS CHAMBERS b 1839 died at St Peter's Infirmary, Derby on 30 October 1897 after an accident which occured on 21 September 1897.  I would be very grateful if anyone has any further details.

I do not have the death certificate, but info from the Internet states that there was an accident on 21 September 1897.  Thomas fell from a traction engine and died 30 October in St Peter's Infirmary, Derby due to injuries sustained to his right thigh. Age 58 yrs.

The accident is reported in the Derby Mercury on Wednesday 28th September 1897:-

Thomas Chambers aged 57 of 17 Harrow Road, Grantham employed by Messrs. Horosley, Engineers of
that Town, met with an accident at Brailsford on Tuesday evening.  He had been repairing a traction engine belonging to Mr. Joseph Harrison, Farmer and while in motion he fell off, breaking his thigh.  He now lies at
the Royal Infirmary.

The Tuesday mentioned would be 27th September and the Hospital would be The Derby Royal Infirmary.
