Greetings Richard,
If you are still searching for information on Margarete Charlotte Lindau, please let me know?  I am not sure yet, but the person you're mentioning here might be my Grandmother - may she rest in peace.  I have some family records paperwork which may or may not help your research, provided this is of the same family you are searching.
Take care out there,
"Cap'n" Toni....

Hi Toni
Apologies for taking so long to reply - I looked at your post and then went off doing other things. The Margarete I am seeking turned up in Dortmund (pregnant) before 1930, and never gave details of the father. The family believe the date and place of birth to be accurate, so I struggle to understand the lack of a record - I can only think for some reason her birth wasn't registered. If you still think there is a connection, let me know.
Leicestershire - Yates, Wright, Pole, Blakesley
Dorset - Tilley, Hunt
Dorset/Somerset - Rogers
Dorset/Southampton - Trodd

Hi RRYFS,
Thank you for your reply.  I went back and checked my papers, and found that these are in fact two entirely different Charlotte's.  Although the birth date ranges appear to be close, I apologize in that it appears I recalled the name "Margarete" incorrectly; I believe there was a Great Aunt with the name Margarete (however I'm unsure of the spelling).  My Charlotte is/was actually Anna Marie Charlotte Lindau -may she rest in peace - from the Saxony regions of Germany; Chemnitz and Wiederau.  I am sorry that I was not able to be of more help to you.
I wish for you all good success in your continuing search.
"Cap'n" Toni....
