Gold Hill, Swallowcliffe
« on: Sunday 29 July 12 17:21 BST (UK) »
Does anyone know whereabouts Gold Hill would have been in Swallowcliffe?
It's listed as an address in the 1911 census but isn't there now.

Any help much appreciated,
Dijon :)

If nobody else is able to come up with anything more helpful, have you looked at the enumerator's pages for the enumeration district (available on FindMyPast, not sure about A*y)?  They can be helpful in placing addresses relative to known landmarks such as pubs, although not all enumerators did things in what we might think of as a logical order.  At the very least the description page will list the places covered by the ED.

best wishes
Jane :-)

Thank you Familydar and Ray for your help.
This gives me a good idea of the location of Gold Hill.
Sorry I haven't replied sooner but haven't been too well.

Kind regards,
Dijon :)
