RAF Haydock
« on: Sunday 29 July 12 06:05 BST (UK) »
I'm  new to this, so please  excuse  any  mistakes!
I   served  at  RAF  Haydock  from  1969  'til  the  place closed  down  a  couple  of  years  later.  I  have  many  happy memories  of  those  days.  I  was  a  telephonist  in  the  signals  centre  and  reached  the  rank  of  SAC.  Anyone  out  there  remember  me? -   SAC  Dave  Whiteside?  I'd  love  to  hear  from  you  if  you  do.
Thanks ; :)

Thanks  for  your  reply  Swo.man.  Yeah, you  were  there  before  me, sorry  we  didn't  get  to  meet  up.  Spent  many  happy  hours  down  at  the  British  Legion    and the  Reading  Room.  You  probably  know  that  the  station  is  now  a  housing  estate?
Take  care.
