Help needed Father of Thomas Stafford 1765/7-1832
« on: Wednesday 25 July 12 21:22 BST (UK) »
Hello,

I'm stuck a few generations back... I need the name of the father of my 5x great grandfather... here's what I know so far...

Name: Thomas Stafford
b.1765-d.1832 - However I have recently read of a Thomas Stafford from the same area born 1767
Married to Ann
Lived in Wexford on a farm at Ballyvarig (Ballyvarogue).
Son was Patrick (Peter) Stafford who was married to Ann Clarey.

Any help appreciated!
Thanks,
Lee

What details do you have on your Thomas Stafford - e.g. when and where did he marry, where were his children born etc ?

1765 is before the majority of parish records, so there may not be a baptism available for him..

Stafford family are listed on the Peerage list
http://www.thepeerage.com/index.htm

A James Stafford was Mayor of Wexford in 1610

If these people are your relatives they had land but lost it to Cromwell.

if you go throught google or ask jeeves put in the search box - Stafford family of Wexford or Stafford Holdings
