Manchester or Salford John Walker marriage
« on: Tuesday 24 July 12 22:36 BST (UK) »
Hi
I am looking for a marriage for my deceased Uncle in law John Walker, he was born in 1930 in Salford 8d 462.
He had 2 daughters June 1966 Manchester 10b 301 and Christine 1963 Manchester 10e 304. Mothers maiden name of Rawlinson. But I cannot find a marriage.

John lived in Salford all his life until his death in 2010.

We know he had 2 daughters and names are correct but maybe not the dates and mother??

June was a prison officer in Styal Prison, and we heard she hung herself there.

Any help would be great

Thanks in advance

Michael

If Christine is still alive - her name should not be posted here

Quote
To protect people and their identities we do not encourage the posting of information about people who are or maybe still living.

One possibility is that their mother was previously married - example below

Mary Rawlinson marries Joe Bloggs who then dies

Mary Bloggs marries John Walker but childrens births will show mothers true maiden name

Suggest you may get more info by buying a copy of one of the birth certs - it will at least give mothers christian name

Ok thanks for the reply. Sorry about the posting names, didn't think.
I will send for a birth certificate and see what turns up.

Just trying to order a birth certificate and coming up with error
Form Errors
Date of birth must be given if birth occurred in last 50 years
Mother's maiden surname and forename must be given if birth occurred in last 50 years

Is this something new?

Thats the info I am after!

Hi
Just had another check and will not let me proceed without the above info. Its because its in the last 50 years. There are fields that must be completed and some of them are the info I am missing. Oh well will have to keep searching elsewhere.

I have just had a go and it does the same for me.  I have only ordered certs more than 50yrs old so was unaware of this restriction - sorry

It's probably a safeguard against identity theft

Found them, mothers maiden name was Ramsden not Rawlinson. Daughter June was Anita June :-)

Thanks for your help.
