Scott, Stewart, Boyle Ireland to Scotland
« on: Monday 23 July 12 07:12 BST (UK) »
Hello all, I am seeking information on the 3 families mentioned above if possible.

The Scott family headed by James Scott 1846 and Anne Martin migrated from Aghabog Monaghan Ireland to Overtown Area (Burnsides Land) with their large family approx 1890. It seems the Boyle family may have done the same migration 10 yrs earlier chasing work in the mines. Unsure about the Stewarts.

Through their work in the mining industry these families would meet and marry. Often residing in similar locations - Boyds Row, Wymsshill Row, Pen Close, Parkhead Row, Orchard Row, Douglas Park Bellshill etc.

Anyone have anything that may be connected to these families?

Hi,
Does anyone know where I would find a map with the previously mentioned streets in them for them, for 1900's?

Cheers.

Old Monkland, Coatbridge.  Pollockshaws,Glasgow.  Ireland  Northern Ireland. Donegal,Tyrone,County Derry.

McCann McCrehan (or McCrechan or McCreighan)
