Ooops wrong person, didn't see the third middle name.

What makes you think they went to California?

Hi Newbe,

What was the cause of death? there are a lot of patient files at Auckland Archives, the cause of death might help work out if he was a committed patient or not,as it is not far off the 70yr restriction you may get perrmission to view his hospital file,

Cheers Janette

Hi Newbe...

Maybe Emily in 1920.

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/MH4B-RXY

Age ties in with "7c. Emily Eliza Bordeaux Eyre, b. 3rd Mar. 1879, at Putiki " found halfway down...

http://www.archive.org/stream/wiltshirenotesqu05deviuoft/wiltshirenotesqu05deviuoft_djvu.txt

But Emily's third name is different on BDM NZ Births

1879/1072 - EYRE, Emily Eliza Tatton - mother: Matilda   father: Dudley Robert

---------

BDM NZ Births
1903/7445 - MACKEY, Phillis Norton - mother: Emily Eliza Bordeaux  father: George Herbert

Might be the Phyllis mentioned on the census

The three youngest children are all born in California

EDIT:
Found on ancestry...

U.S. Naturalization Record Indexes - Phyllis Norton Mackey Busse

Possibly relates to...

1930 US Census
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XCN8-GRH

1940 US Census
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/K98B-5GH

Thanks for that KHP. I was just going through his will again and it says died Kingaseat. I wonder how long he was there?

Maybe I will send a email to the funeral director and see what his record says

I don't need cause of death at this stage

Thanks for those bit you added Beg. I will give them a good read a bit later

Hopefully find anyone else researching this family.
I am just trying to piece it altogether so I get a better picture

When I get some death dates on his children and death notices if possible I may be able to track down a living member that might be able to help and add more.

Hi Newbe...

There's a fellow researcher on Mundia.

He's got the right surname

Search for the tree of Phyllis MacKEY b.1904 in NZ
