Hi

Yes, they are all on the 1841 census - Ashton in Mackersfield, Wigan.

On the A******y website the surname was initially transcribed as Simon not Simm but has since been amended.

John is a labourer. Francis, Wilmot & Mary Ann are all drawers in a coalpit.

They were all born within the county - Lancashire. The 1841 census does not give addresses.

The majority of the family are still together in 1851 living at Edge Green Lane in Mackersfield Wigan. they all shown as being born in Mackersfield.
Occupants = John (labourer highway), Hannah, Francis (coal miner), Margaret (works in cotton mill), Mary Ann (weaver silk), Jane (works in cotton mill), Amelia (general sew?), John (aged 9), William (aged 5)

Do you subscribe to A******y?

Several people have got this particular family included in their family trees. They also include extra info re marriages / births pre 1840's registration.

Just realized don't have Margaret on 1841 census. Seems to be 2 in Wigan District both living with Simm in family. Could you please check them for me :)
