Hi all,
Hate to ask, but I'm tied up at work all week so won't get chance, but could anyone have a nose at a birth/christening record for me please if they happen to be in Wolves archive, as I'm stuck!
I'm after a William Harold Woolridge born in Wolverhampton in the December quarter of 1889 (6b 576 on the indexes) - specifically his parent's names as I can't find any record of him (apart from a Stafford one on the 1891 census which I think is incorrect) until his marriage to Gladys Tuft in 1910 (father noted as 'William' - possibly a caster or carter - but nothing linking to the census re: occupation) and after her death to Kate Crump in 1913 (no father listed).
I've had a look on the Wolves History site indexes but nothing there, although his later marriage was in St. Patricks (Catholic) - not sure about the earlier one - so I don't think it'd be there anyway (CofE only?). I'm also not sure if he was Catholic before this or converted (later family are CofE) and I can't find the St. Patricks indexes for this date which are apparently not where they're supposed to be in Birmingham!

Happy for all advice, including to get the birth certificate if needs be but I'm just impatient as usual!!

Many thanks...Helen
