WW1 info sought. Hirst/Rattigan/Foster

Hello everybody.

Are any of you good people able to access war records?
And if so, could you please help?
I'm looking for records on the following 3 people, Great-Grandfathers of mine.
If possible, actual hard copies.

John William Hirst. 3118 Private, of the 5th West Riding.

Martin Rattigan. 9184 Lance Corporal, of 1st West Riding.

I can see all 3 names listed in the WW1 records in Ancestry but I can't match the numbers do you know a birth year and where that might help.Also a lot of these records are badly damaged and are hard to read.
