Hi - could someone please look up a birth record for me please, trying to find out the maiden name of Isaac Wood's Mother. Details are:

Isaac Wood born Qtr Sept 1855 Liverpool - 8b 140

Father is Thomas Wood and 1861 census shows mother as Ann Wood
Family living in South Toxteth

we need the maiden name of his mother so that we can find the marriage of his parents

Nothing on Lancashire Online Parish Clerk. The easiest way to get his mother's maiden name and to be sure that you have the right one would be to send for the birth certificate.

There is a marriage for a Thomas Wood and Ann Benson in 1851
Liverpool,Our Lady, St Nicholas and St Anne

I saw that, but according to the 1861 census Thomas came from Witton, Cheshire and Ann from Losick, Cheshire so the marriage could have taken place there. Without Isaac's birth certificate it is impossible to be sure which is the correct marriage.
