All your messages have been of great help, & has proved to me that it is worth coming back to a thread that previously was not answered  :D.

Zachtyr, Carol & Casalguidi Putting together the information you all provided has I believe answered my question's about Agnes, thank you all very much. I had found marriage of Agnes & reference on 1881 census but as age was a little out etc put it down in my notes as a possible. Thank you for the Agnes Rook info too, which as you say makes sense.

Zachtyr as you say interesting how these small communities often have two or more of the same name & similar age it certainly makes you realise how thorough you need to be.

Nancy, it certainly seems that we have the same Agnes Coveney, I will PM you my e-mail.

Thank you all again, your help is greatly appreciated :)

I couldn't see any Agnes COVENEY in 1851 but found this Agnes ROOK:

1851

Agnes ROOK 14 b.Faversham general servant to Benjamin DOWN (grazier) & family at Kenardington HO107/1620 folio 346 page 4

Casalguidi
