Just to keep people informed I'm passing on this message from the KAS webmaster that he has just issued:

"I regret to inform you that the Kent Archaeological Society’s website at www.kentarchaeology.org.uk is still down.

Our web hosting provider has let us down badly and we are in the process of recovering the URL (kentarchaeology.org.uk) and it transferring to another web hosting service.

It is unlikely that it will back up much before the end of next week.

Regrettably the trick of using Google “cache memory” to view pages, that I told you about last week no longer works, as the Google search procedure has since searched all the pages previously held and found them empty.

I can assure that we are doing everything possible to reinstate this useful resources so popular with family historians as soon as we can."
