That is indeed a pity. Meyer was connected to the Great Synagogue in Dukes Place London. He was there till 1817
and was a prominent member of the synagogue. It seems he left London in less than desirable circumstances. The next
proven reference to him in London is in the 1841 census. This is where it gets confusing. Meyers wife/partners name is
given as Mary, but in 1843 the report from Brighton gives her name as Sarah, and places Moses there but not Meyer.
Then you have the reprt of Saras death in Rogasen Prussia on 4/5/1869, aged 85. Meyer was born in 1785 in
either Poland or Prussia. Research into the convoluted history of that region would seem to prove that Poland and
Prussia were different names for the same region at different times. Given these facts i would think that they were
married in either Poland or London. What family tree contains the photos of Moses and Elvina?
