Update:....

Ive managed to find Thomas Sincup and the family in 1841 and 1851 now.... transcribed as Simcock.

in 1841 there is also a William Simcock b1831 and Thomas b 1833.

Now the William b 1826 to thomas and Ellen,

now could William b1826 be my William father of Elizabeth or is William b1831 father to Elizabeth?.

Hi Weenie,
Yoy said at the begining that you had found Elizabeth Sincup on the 1861 census with her grandfather Thomas ,so if you agree that is her ,then the William you've found with Thomas and Elizabeth on the 1841 census must be her father.
So is the son William with Thomas and Elizabeth born 1831 or 1826?
Plus given the death of a William Sincup near Manchester born 1831 I'd assume the 1831 birth is correct.

Ps Ancestry has a baptism at Longton 27.7.1831 William Simcock to a Thomas and Eliza.

Hi Ciderdrinker,

I now think that Elizabeth with Thomas Sincup in the 1861 census. isnt my Elizabeth Sincup...... but possibly a cousin.

Here is what i have....

The marriage for Elizabeth Sincup and Thomas Hulse states her father is William Sincup...

There is baptism for William sincup/simcock to Thomas and Elizabeth as you have at Longton 1831.

Now i can trace William Simcock through the Census's..

1841:
Thos Simcock   35
Elizth Simcock   35
William Simcock   10
Thomas Simcock   8
Elizth Simcock   3
Levi Simcock   5
Sarah Simcock   1

1849 William Simcock marries Ann Janders according to LDS

3 baptisms for Children to William and Ann.
William 1855 Elizabeth 1856 and Sarah 1859.

the 1861 census:
William Simcock   30
Anne Simcock   31
William Simcock   6
Elizabeth Simcock   4
Sarah Simcock   2
Jane Jones   52
Ada Habets   4

I have not found a 51 census yet or further.

but Thomas and Ellen  children are :
William b 1826 possibly death 1827
James b 1828

Thomas then is with Elizabeth.. need to find marriage though.
William 1831
Thomas 1833
Levi 1836
Elizabeth 1838
Richard 1843
John 1846
Anne 1848

I can trace Thomas through to 1871 census now with using Simcock/Sincup

Im just struggling still to find a birth of Elizabeth so i can order a cert to prove that Ann is the mother .
