Malmesbury: Drakeford & Gosling

Hi all!
I'm having trouble tracking down an elusive wife.

In the 1881 census for Malmesbury, Wiltshire, Charles Drakeford appears as a grocer, unmarried, aged 27 (RG11/2025/78/7).

On 15 Nov 1883 his son Thomas Alexander Drakeford is born in Malmesbury. The mother is named as Jane Drakeford formerly Gosling (birth cert).

In 1884 Charles' wife Jane dies aged 29 and is buried in Malmesbury Abbey churchyard (GRO deaths index + MI).

I can't find a Drakeford/Gosling marriage in the GRO indexes for 1881-1884 and can't find an obvious candidate for this Jane Gosling in the censuses or GRO births index.

Any information or ideas would be gratefully received.

There is another child bn Malmesbury reg district before Thomas. Her name is Crissy - In 1891 she is living with Nathaniel and Christiana Gosling in Cheltenham.
Nathaniel was bn c1824 Hankerton

In 1881 they are in 12 High St, Langholm, Scotland with a daughter Jane
Nathaniel Gosling 58
Christiana Gosling 49
Jane Gosling 25
Elizabeth Gosling 16 bn Langholm, Scotland
Maria Gosling 14 bn Langholm, Scotland


Jane is bn England   ;D

I've registered with Scotland's People, paid my money and found the marriage in Langholm, Dumfries on 26 April 1881.
