Staffordshire BMD has a marriage for
William Johnson and Sarah Ford in 1838 at St Margaret's Church, Wolstanton
The same marriage is on FamilySearch giving Williams fathers name as William Johnson and Sarah's fathers name as John Ford

Staffordshire BMD - Thomas Ford JOHNSON born 1837 mothers maiden name FORD at Shelton.

Shelton is very close to Hanley

Hi Chris,  thank you so much for your response.
William was arrested for stealing from a Solicitor in Shelton 1842, it looks like a real possibility much more acceptable than the previous one Edward  born 1836 and would make William just a little older B1821. I guess it means they married after Thomas was born? :-\
So very grateful for all the help.
