I have used the OPC and parish records from family search for the Perranuthnoe area. I will have to widen my search. Think that I will have to ring the record office and order the will document.
Have you any thoughts on the earlier Michells(Tobias ...)?

you'll need to use the form on the link I gave you as the office will need your signature on the copyright form.

Survival and legibility of 17th century parish records is a problem and then there's the disruption caused by the Civil War, so getting back before that might not be possible. Have you looked at the other records on the opc database? The Hearth Tax of 1884 is there and the Protestation Retruns from 1641, not sure that all parishes have been transcribed though.

did do a person search for Tobias Mi(t)chell and nothing in the protestation or hearth tax. You are probably right about the Civil war/Commonwealth period but I can't find any Michells pre that time in the Perranuthnoe parish records so probably they did come from elsewhere.
