Marriage details look-up please, Great Boughton - 1860 COMPLETED

Hi,

I am trying to determine who the parents were of Robert Hume. Would the name of at least his father be on a Cheshire marriage record from 1860, or both parents? I am not too familiar with English vital records.

Robert HUME married Mary COOKSON - Great Boughton, Cheshire - July, August or Sept. of 1860.
A reference is given of volume 8a, page 482.

1871 census - Robert Hume is with wife Mary and 7 children in Cuddington, Cheshire. It states he was born at Long Melford, Suffolk.

1861 census - Robert Hume is with wife Mary & sister Mary Hume; parish of John the Baptist, Boughton ward, Chester. It states he was born at Long Melford, Suffolk.

1851 census - unable to locate Robert Hume.

1841 census - it is possible he is with parents named John and Sarah Hume at Long Melford, Suffolk ... Robert, age 7 yrs. old. That same Robert appears not to be with them in 1851.

I realize I can write to request his marriage and death records (or view microfilm) but perhaps there is a book look-up, index or something else on-line which I may be unaware of.

Take a look at http://www.csc.liv.ac.uk/~cprdb/
Click on Database > select marriage> and type in Hume for the Surname.  Select the last one by clicking on the circle and then click on the square next to it.

10th September, 1860 St John's, Chester
Robert Hume, Bachelor, Miller aged 27
Married by Licence
Mary Cookson, Spinster aged 29
Witnesses: Ellen Mary Hume and Joseph Arnold
His father: John a General Dealer
Her Father: Thomas a Miller
