I wasn't able to find out any further data about the Landlord of the Carpenters Arms, but I did find the following:-
Glos Archives (GA) GAL/G3
The Victoria History of the County of Gloucester, Volume XI, Pages 47-56.
This is a potted history of Miserden going back to virtually the year dot. I found no entry for the Carpenters Arms, but you can find masses of other data.
