Public online tree SO (not shouting, but typing very loudly) all care, it is submitted, needs careful verifying ..

born 1826, Lillze, Belgium
death 18 Aug 1897, Eidsvold Hospital Qld

married 10 April 1861 Camden Middlesex  to Lavinia Ann Norris RIDER 1841-1885

migration details not displayed for Mr and Mrs and Miss Fontaine who married in Qld 29 May 1890 to Michael WALL.  

I will log out and hunt up my big book of newspaper cuttings for Burnett and Bundy in Qld.

JM I doubt the information on George's death cert is accurate.

Our Herbert George Newton was born 1900 and was fostered to the Robert John and Mary Ann Perkins Family in Australia in 1906. My friend says that he never really talked about his father's foster details with him, but knows that a lady from the Salvation Army delivered Herbert to the family.  He has tried to obtain information from the Salvation Army but apparently all records were lost in a fire.

It does seem a big step from Bendigo to the family in South Australia in that era.  I would be contacting the links on the PROV website on my previous post.

I gather you are mentioning this because of the previous linked post.  However it would appear that George was possibly born in Bendigo in 1873 but as you can read on this thread the information on his death cert is a little odd ie if it is him.  Jo has made contact with a descendant of George's brother.

And I understand Cando's point too,     but if Frances aka Fanny Fontaine could only be Alice Fosdyke    It will only take my time to look through the offline cuttings I have.   It was Cando's kind pennies.

The only marriage in QLD I can see is this one & obviously not the one we are looking for

There doesn't appear to be any births registered to them in QLD.

Mmm wonder if George returned to Bendigo from Qld with an Alice FOSDYKE or had formed a relationship with an Alice FOSDYKE after his return to Bendigo
