William and Dora were residing at 23 Pedder Street Newtown at the time of their deaths. C K Gittus (son)was the next of kin on the burial information for Dora Gittus.

C K Gittus has also passed on and is buried at Cornelian Bay Cemetery with his wife.

Colin Kenneth Gittus born 7/12/1921 died 20/07/2000 aged 78.
Joyce Fredrica Gittus born 8/06/1924 died 22/05/2001 aged 76.

Roman Catholic ,Section ND,Grave number 343 sub location B

Colin Gittus was residing at Mount Holl Road ,Colinsvale at the time of his death.
Joyce Gittus was residing at The Gardens Nursing Home Claremont Tasmania.
Next of kin for Joyce may be still living so can`t post it on here.
There isn`t a headstone photo for them as yet on the website I use.

Yes I think the R W Gittus is still alive and living in Southern Tasmania according to the Southern Tasmanian Phone Directory.

Out of all this confusion, [in the background],  that I have caused, jamjar, johngirl, and others have solved the hassles I've had researching William & Phyllis Gittus nee Vincent. It has been a long time coming.

The only thing that is missing is when the pair married, it was obviously in Tasmania, [perhaps prior to their son's birth in July1933]. If it's any help, Phyllis was born in Burnie 1914.

I could just about close this thread, with complete satisfaction with the responses I've had from all the experts at "RootsChat".
