Hello again. I made a mistake in the above entry and quoted his marriage date rather than his baptism. I have checked all my trees and the only notes I have are as follows "Baptism Notes
St John the Baptist Baptism, East Markham, name left blank in the Parish Register but named as the son of Thomas" Thomas has other children baptised in EM on NFHS cds .I have checked various sites where I do my research, I cannot find this information online. Going into my paper files which are plentiful. I had a lot of help early on from another Antcliffe researcher and he lived in the Nottinghamshire archives! I quote from some of the details he sent me. "Notes for John Antcliff. The childs christian name was left blank in the Parish register but he was named as the son of Thomas Antcliff Attaching John here therefore is not absolutly proven. However East Markham, the domicile of Antcliffsin this period is only a half a days walk from Laneham. No Antcliffs are recorded in the Laneham register before John so it is reasonable to suppose John had his origins in East Markham." Baptism 28 April 1645 Source Parish Register East Markham.
