Hi,
Do you have Daniel's Scottish birth certificate?
That will have his parents names and their date and place of marriage. That will confirm if William Low and Agnes Young were his parents.
If they are the correct parents, their marriage certificate will have the parents of both the bride and groom on it.
They can be downloaded immediately from the Scotland's People website:
