There is a Catherine Ann Tait born 1902 and died 1991 on the California death index and Social Security death index.  You can see the information at www.familysearch.org.

Accoding to SSDI - Last Residence: 91942  La Mesa, San Diego, California.

There was a detroit border crossing for  Catherine Ann Tait born 5 April 1902 Burntisland. Scotland. and aged 42 years. Single.  Occupation:- Domestic.  Had never been in the USA before. Purpose was to reside permanently.
Arriving  Port Huron, Michigan 26 November 1944
Departure Contact: Brother James Tait. 590 Hillsdale Avenue. Toronto.
Arrival Contact: Friend Mrs. May Martin. 1606 Virginia Road. San Francisco. California.
Had landed Quebec 6 Nov 1930 - Dutchess of Richmond.

Canadian Passenger List - Catherine Tait. Born 1902 Scotland and aged 28 years. Occupation:- Childrens Nurse.
Date of Arrival: 7 Nov 1930 on the Duchess of Richmond
Port of Departure: Greenock, Scotland to Montreal Quebec.

Sister Jessie Tait appears on Canadian Passenger List Greenock. Scotland to Quebec arriving 7 September 1935 on the Andania

Jessie Tait. Born about 1904 Burntisland. Scotland and aged 31 years. Single. Domestic. Cook.
Had been in Canada previously 18/8/30 - June 1935
16 Garfield Avenue. Toronto.  Employer was Mrs J Robertson at that address.
Jessie had no relatives left in Scotland, they were all in Canada.

This was the first Canadian Passenger list showing sister Jessie.

Jessie Tai. Born 1902 Burntisland. Scotland and aged 28 years. Occupation:- Domestic/Cook.
Glasgow to Montreal, arriving 17 Aug 1930 on the Athenia. Going to Canadian Womens Hostel.72 Carlton Street. Ontario. Sister was Mary Tait. 59 Somerville Street. Burntisland.
