Roman Catholic Churches, Liverpool
« on: Friday 29 June 12 22:59 BST (UK) »
Is there a list of RC churches for Liverpool.  We are trying to track down a baptism record and we need either St. Francis (I believe there is more than one) or St.Teresa RC in Liverpool.

Thanks,
Genny

What name and date? We might be able to find it. Here are some links containing RC churches:-

If its ok I'd prefer to send a private letter to the church as there are details I don't wish to make public.

and.....thank you lol.  Have written to St. Francis de Sales in Liverpool as we know it had St. Francis in the title.  We have already tried St. Francis Xavier previously.
:)

St Francis of Assisi here in Garston,Liverpool.....it is 400 metres from my home address
if you google it , you should get a contact e-mail or address
it is in Earp Street - so if you would rather write to them look for the address in Earp St
good luck ....if you would like to PM me just the surname , I can tell you if I know of that particular surname is known in Garston ....

If you know what district in Liverpool the family lived this may help in finding the church.

garstonite - the one St. Francis church we did not try is St. Francis of Assisi. .....that may just be the one.  Thank you so much.  We don't know the district they lived in unfortunately, the family was origianlly from Bootle but when George's mother returned to have him baptised we're not sure where his Aunt Margaret Barwise was living at the time.  If I find out I'll post it here and thank you both so very very much.

Take care,
Glenda

ps.  have just emailed St. Francis of Assisi - let's hope we've finally found the right church lol.

Hiya Genny.....I was registered in Wavertree.........which covers Garston...
1903 registration of George A  on
www.lancashirebmd.org.uk
that registration is also Wavertree .....so it looks like he may well have been
St Francis of Assisi here in Garston.....and the surname is well known here in Garston ....I haven`t posted the surname because you haven`t ....but maybe you should post the full name on here so other people may see it..
Other members may have him in their tree....
as a 1903 birth / baptism you would get better response if you posted his name
