I am looking to get in touch with a relative of Margaret Powell, domestic servant and writer from Hove. This is in relation to a television series about domestic servants.

My mother lived for several years in Old Shoreham Road Hove, in the 1970's and 1980's Ifeel sure that Margaret Powell lived in the vicinity of the South side of the road not far from Amhurst Cres . Sorry I am not related, but you may get a lead from this .Tryin.

They tell you she had 6 siblings, give her husband's name, state they had 3 children and one source names the eldest who died of a brain tumour. 
FreeBMD and the 1911 (Steyning) census suggests Margaret Lily Langley, the eldest daughter of John & Ellen Langley, was their fifth child and two years older than either of the above biographical sources has recorded. (birth reg Brighton June quarter 1905)
