HiYall
Hoping some of you clever peeps can help me solve a mystery.
Mary Ann Binns born 1860 Almondbury, Huddersfield, West Yorks - D/o Jonathan Stanley Binns and Elizabeth Garner.
In the 1881 census she is a domestic servant in Dalton in Huddersfield. I cannot find a marriage for her in England & Wales though her partner's name was
Walter William Segrove (Occupation Barman) - this name and occupation is given on their childrens baptisms;
By 1891 both Mary Ann and Walter William have disappeared, though I cannot find a death or remarriage for either of them

The evidence I have is as follows:
in 1883 they were in Bermondsey, London (Surrey?) I know this because their daughter Beatrice Olive E Segrove was born, followed in 1884 by their son William George G Segrove (Born 30 Apr 1884). William George was baptized at St Peter's Church Huddersfield, his younger sister died in Huddersfield 1884 aged 1. There was then another son Frederick Alfred born Huddersfield 08 May 1887 baptized 5th Feb 1888;
By 1891 both sons are with Mary's relatives - William George is with her brother and two sisters (William Henry, Clara Amelia & Alice Louisa Binns) Frederick Alfred is with her Aunt Caroline Louisa (nee Binns) and uncle Alfred Arthur - he is listed as adopted son.
By 1901 both sons reside with the now widowed Alfred Arthur and BOTH are listed as adopted son to Alfred.
The Binns family did have quite a few emigratees (is that a Word

)to the US in the 1880's and I am wondering if Mary Ann and Walter William died abroad or at sea and the children were sent back to live with her relatives?
They just seem to have disappeared
I would like help looking for a marriage for the couple and tracing what happened to them.
Let me know your thoughts please peeps ?
Cheers
Jan
