Question about Dunmore/Tuam parish records
« on: Friday 29 June 12 11:05 BST (UK) »
I have family that lived (and continues to live) in the parish of Dunmore.  I used a certain fee-based online database that had Dunmore records from 1833 and Tuam records from 1790 and I found a birth record from 1815 in Tuam that would seem to match my family from Dunmore.

So, my question: Were Dunmore parish records separate from Tuam in 1815?  Or do you think this Tuam birth record from 1815 could still be from Dunmore?

Thanks for your help!

I would think they would have been separate. A lot of people had the same names back then so it's likely they could be two different people I would think. If you search the baptismal records in depth you will see if they come from the same parents?
