I've got a quite extensive family tree built up but now i want to flesh it out a bit more with more info about each person. does anyone have any idea what resources there are for things like this? such as army records, work records etc

Hello.

I see that nearly three weeks have past without suggestions. Perhaps if you haven't already, you could read the first few locked posts at the start of each subject board, [eg this board Renfrewshire, Scotland] as they offer advice about research options, in that area of research. You can also read some of the already posted threads, with titles of interest to you, looking for tips. Also try the search option from the top bar, to see if others have researched that work place.

Then start a thread with a nominated named subject [person or building etc], area, and date/year and someone will come forward with tips from their research experience.

WW1 records may not have survived and you can get a copy of ww2 records for £30 from MOD

School records may be available from the local council archives
