sorry about that, Rootschat won't let me "cut 'n paste" so I was going back and forth from the orginal document. *shrug* hahahaha I ALWAYS get into trouble whilst trying to help out (although you were a first "on here") LOL

Hi Sunfish

Use the edit copy and past (after highlighting thing to be copied), between file and view on window page across menu at the top of page- don't use the  the mouse right click copy /paste.
In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

Hi to you both,

Thanks for your hard work. And good confirmation on the last post as my grand mother Amy Partington lived in 29 Grant Street in the early 1900s. In the 1950's she was still there when I used to visit her. Never knew that Joseph Partington lived in that street was well. Not sure what relation
he would have been to my grandmother though?????
Well it also looks like his wife Letticia (no wonder I couldn't find her with her using the middle name) and he stayed in Yorkshire. So not to worry about looking for him anywhere else.
Dobby wonderin gthough that the Fred mentioned born 1876 is the one in the King Cross cemetery that was found whilst looking for Esther .
Thanks both again, couldn't have found thse without your help.
Going to have spend time studying them now and search out streets where they were etc.
Sandra
