Hi Suz,

Sorry! we have all James info. it was his son George we are after.

If you can find the 1901c of him Please!

Its been said! one of the sons of James emigrated ? Hence the interest!!

Dobby  :)
In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

Hi Suz.

Thanks on other info

I posted [u
post/after [/u] 1871c  for son George Partington life in census 1881,91,1901c

Never mentioned his dad James

I realised you had posted for info after 1871 - but noticed sunfish had posted details of 1871 and had the father as Joseph -so thought I had better double check

Have you found 1881 census OK?

I can post it if it is not too clear on familysearch

Also what made me question whether I had the correct george was that I found a baptism
George Partington
2 Jun 1853 Castleford All Saints
parents james & Caroline Partington
father's occ Waterman

Anyway -looks like we have the correct one for your research

Hi Suz

Yes I noticed she had 1871c James (Dad)down as Joseph age 49. later after I had posted

I have all I need now.

I'll repost a new thread  for James son Joseph age 18 on the 1871c on the  1891c and 1901c

Again Thanks for everything. :D

Hi sunfish,

Keep  posting - it is confusing at times

When we look up census we are supposed to do our own transcription from the image and give census reference - this fulfils copyright requirements - I think !!!!!!
