Soldier Look up please
« on: Friday 22 June 12 14:52 BST (UK) »
Hi

I am looking for information about Edgar BAIGENT born circa 1888 in Farnham, Surrey.

A Google search showed hits in the TNA and CWGC. The CWGC had the following information:
Air Mechanic 1st Class
Service number 230958
Died 05/06/1918
RAF 214th Sqdn.
Buried Dunkirk.

Could some kind soul do a look up for me to see if this is 'my' Edgar Baigent and let me know the details, or lack of, on his record.

Many thanks in anticipation.
Ross - East Lothian.
Kirkham - Nottinghamshire.
Barker - Essex.

Just wanted to add that he was killed in an enemy air-raid on Coudekerque, along with 3 others.

He is listed in Airmen Died in the Great War 1914-1918: The Roll of Honour of the British and Commonwealth Air Services of the First World War by Chris Hobson*, which lists all RFC/RAF/RNAS casualties, with causes of death.
