Hi Carol, what a wonderful post re Nicholas! Re Mary with a surname like Stephens I personally would not take that marriage for mine, especially with no mention of a Mary Ann, just plain Mary?

I have spent the last hour lost in the sinking of the RMS Leinster...... I knew nothing of this story before.....so interesting. Its lovely to see the information about Nicholas and to find a photo too was a bonus..really puts the flesh on the bones of the story.

Will not take this Mary marriage as gospel , will try and do more research on the family and maybe something about Mary will pop up.

I have found an old photo of a little girl and hand written on back is:
"With love from Emily Chapman to Uncle Dick."
This must be a daughter of Marion ( Dick is my grandad).

I will try and find this family now.
