Hi Olive,

Just saw your query about Timothy Hayes.

Ellen Hayes, who married Denis Desmond, one "n", was my great grandmother.

A book 'Eureka Stockade" by Richard Butler, might be of interest to you, it is available on line.
From memory after returning from South America Timothy lived in North Melbourne where he was the local dog catcher. He is buried in the Melbourne General Cemetery Carlton.

Welcome to Rootschat, George

Glensmum has not been active since December last year but she should get an email notification of your post (presuming she is still at the same email address).

Do you want us to hunt further for any of this family?

Hi George Good to hear from you. I have heard of that book but as yet not read it. I still am interested in the Hayes family. More so back in Ireland now as I feel there must be family still there. Thank you so much for your reply.
